Contractually the company can hire contracters as long as no Local 1900 member loses his/her job due to a reduction in force. But this does not mean we have to help them do it!

4 rules when you mix union workers and contractors.

1) We do not train them to do the job ..ANY JOB!

2) We do not work along side or hand in hand with them.
This means that we can onspect their work but we don't do it with them.

3) We don't loan them our tools. They are contracted to do a job so they should have their own tools!

4) Last but definitely not least they must follow the same safety guidelines and rules as we do.
